She doesn’t remember what’s so funny, but she can’t stop laughing and it feels good. After everything they’ve been through, this moment is perfect. They are together in the woods. She’s sitting on a fallen tree, an empty bottle of Jasper’s moonshine at her feet, and Clarke is on her knees, bent in half, shaking with laughter.
“And then…then,” Clarke says between giggles, unable to finish her story, or maybe she doesn’t even remember where she was going with it, but it doesn’t matter. “Oh god, my ribs, ha!” She’s laughing so hard, tears are rolling like diamonds down her flushed cheeks, and Raven thinks it’s the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen, the most beautiful thing she’s ever heard.
Their eyes meet, and they gradually sober up, though their smiles never waver. Clarke gets on her feet, swaying a little. She licks her lips, her gaze locked on Raven’s mouth, and takes a step forward.
“I kind of want to kissss you right now,” Clarke admits with a slur, taking another unsteady step.
“Then what are you waiting for, Princess?”
They might be drunk, but Raven wants this and she will still want Clarke in the morning. Will Clarke?
