The cafeteria had since cleared out, even though break wasn't over yet.
Vivian takes three aspirin, swallows it down with hot coffee, winces, once again regretting having more than two glasses of champagne at the party. But, it was a well-deserved one. A chance for everyone to let loose. Tomorrow was going to be big and everyone seemed stressed lately.
Zara was the only one that remained, sipping her latte. She didn't take her eyes off her phone, which was the case half the time , promptly ignoring her, texting continuously. She seemed unaffected by all the alcohol served last night, despite having consumed more than Vivian herself.
She suspected it was because Zara was British. She'd always heard that they were better at holding their liquor, even the hard stuff.
"So, uh...big day tomorrow.." Vivian begins awkwardly.
Zara scoffs. "Hardly. I have to babysit Claire's nephews all damn day,"
