Peridot falls back against her seat, feeling a headache coming on. Then, "What are you doing!? There's a stop sign!"
"Why bother? There's nothing coming!"
"But, there could be, and when you realize it, it'll be too late!"
Jasper slams on the brake, screeching to a halt. Peridot can feel her seat belt digging into her neck.
"See? Nothing's coming!"
Peridot huffs. "Better safe than sorry."
Jasper rolls her eyes. "These human laws make no sense."
