Rukia lay stretched out on the futon, reading a faux Victorian shojo manga.
In the kitchen, Orihime hummed an anime theme song while making sweet buns filled with red bean paste.
They were friends, however they were mindful of each others space to do what they wanted in the peace and quiet in Orihime's flat.
With the buns almost done, Orihime opens her cupboard to retrieve a box of black tea teabags. She knew it was Rukia's favorite kind to drink. She liked black tea, too, but had always preferred green tea, when given the chance to drink it.
She looked over at Rukia, who was still laying on her stomach, entirely absorbed in the manga she was reading.
She smiles, thinking that she might lend Rukia a copy of her favorite manga series, Ginger Queen.
