She wishes she could just say it was just because she was pretty. That little J's sweet smile and her killer body and her snarky attitude had winned her over. But B would be lying if she said she did. It was because of Serena, the one she couldn't have, and Jenny was as close as she could get. It seemed like it always came down to Serena Van der Woodsen.
Oh, Serena, with her legs that could go for miles and her face that could brighten up the darkest days. And that hair, that marvelous blonde hair that fell down on her back like a golden sunbeam, dazzling and marvelous and so, so beautiful. B knows she'll never see anything like that; she'll never be as pretty, or as loved, and she doesn't think she'll ever feel anything like what she felt for S.
She's not quite sure there's a word for it either. Friend? Enemy? Crush? Lover? Madness? Who knows.
Little J curls up to her in bed, her hand extends to Blair's brown hair and she gets ahold of a lock of hair, trailing it slowly from the bottom to the top.
"You have such beautiful hair, Blair..."
"Not beautiful enough" B mutters under her breath.
