The press had always had a hard-on for everything Selena Gomez did or didn't do, since an early age, but the day she accepted to become Justin Bieber's beard the articles about her skyrocketed. The press went into everything she did; what game she went to watch, what restaurant she went to eat, what school had she attended when she was little. It was ridiculous, but that was what people wanted to read, so she lets it. There were rumours, always, and haters, but Selena had grown into accepting it as part of her life and was able to move past it.
However, her (secret) girlfriend, Demi, wasn't as strong-willed as Selena, she couldn't reach the same resolution. Selena tried to hide the magazines from her, all those nasty articles that were out there, every opinion that any asshole could write without even knowing her; that she was too fat, that she was too bitchy, that she should thank her lucky stars everyday that Disney even considered an ugly chick like her for a lead role, that she was too skinny now and that didn't suit her...
Selena knows she can't hide it all, that Demi hears some critics and that it truly hurts, but she tries her best to confort her; she gives her one kiss for every ugly critic out there (and that's a lot), and assures her that she'll stick with her till the end.
"I won't let things fall apart" whispers Selena, caressing her girlfriend's cheek, smiling.
