It’s Ruby standing there when Snow opens the door. Smiling with just a hint of mischief, same way she used to back in the Enchanted Forest, when the Queen’s guards were after them and they both were preparing to give them hell.
“It’s not wolfstime, is it?” Snow asks in surprise, even though she knows it isn’t. She started tracking the moon cycle again as soon as the curse lifted.
But Ruby’s wearing her cloak, the red so vibrant in the plain corridor of Snow’s building. “Nope, not yet,” she replies in a sing-song voice. She steps forward ever so slightly and oh.
Ruby’s bare leg slides out from where the cloak is pulled closed in front of her, and Snow swallows, mouth suddenly dry as she realises just how little clothing Ruby’s wearing underneath.
“Aren’t you going to let me in?” Ruby smirks.
Snow leans out the door, glances down the stairs. “Did you walk here like that?” she hisses.
“You don’t like it?” Ruby teases, and then she’s shrugging her shoulders, pushing the cloak back so it falls and puddles at her feet, and Snow makes a high-pitched sound.
Ruby grins at her, naked and gorgeous. “Is this better?” she asks in a sweet voice.
“Oh my God,” Snow gasps, reaching to grab Ruby’s wrist and haul her into the apartment. Laughing in disbelief, even when Ruby kisses her back against the closed door. “What about your cloak?”
“I’ll get it later,” Ruby giggles, and kisses her harder.
