There is such beauty in the way Gamora moves. Sharp and sudden, efficient and fierce, her eyes narrowed in focus and a feral growl upon her lips.
She is stunning, it cannot be denied.
Nebula has always been cold, ruthless, but Gamora is heat and flames, and she has burned Nebula in a way that cannot be forgiven.
Nebula would betray her own father and feel no remorse, yet Gamora’s betrayal inspires a pain within her that leaves her breathless and bitter. For Gamora has turned her back on their sisterhood, and Nebula snarls, lashes out, spinning into each blow.
They’ve sparred together many times, but this is something more. They’ve never been afraid of hurting each other, with fists and feet, nor with teeth and fingernails, tangled together in their bedchambers, but now Nebula aims to destroy, to tear Gamora apart.
Nebula has felt Gamora’s body writhe beneath her own. She has tasted Gamora’s pleasure, savoured and worshipped it, and now all she has is the memory, feeding her anger, making her stronger.
But not strong enough, feet sliding out from beneath her.
She hangs from the ship, defeated, enraged beyond words. Gamora is reaching for her, calling for her. Offering her a second chance, another life, hope shining in her eyes.
Nebula hates her, and she hates herself.
For in the split second before she cuts herself free and falls, there is still a part of her that wants to reach for Gamora’s hand and never let go.
