Eva was used to borrowing things from people. She was somewhat forgetful, and would often go into the other girls’ trailers, asking to borrow a highlighter or some lip gloss or a hair brush, whatever she needed that day. Of course she was always willing to be a lender in return, but she found herself more in the borrowing role.
Like whenever she would manage a few moments with Marcia at an awards show or on downtime on the set. She loved it when Marcia would seek her out and hold and cuddle her. She especially loved the rare occasions when Marcia would kiss her, quickly and softly on the lips. But she grew to hate those moments too, because she knew she was only just borrowing Marcia.
Marcia had a fiancé, but more than that, Marcia belonged to Felicity. It was quite obvious, and Eva didn’t begrudge her that at all. She loved Felicity just as much as she loved Marcia and she was happy to see them happy together.
But it killed her too. Because it reminded her that she was just a borrower, and would never be an owner. She would always have to give Marcia back.
