Siobhan watched as Helena sprinkled obscene amounts of sugar on top of the red, gelatinous cubes of jello. She had to wonder why this girl ate like every day was her last, as if she were famished and hadn't eaten in days.
She suspected her being in that convent had something to do with. In fact, she certain of it. Those days were obviously lingering and Helena was always unsure when she would eat again, if ever.
Siobhan sighs and drinks sips her tea slowly, in contrast to Helena shoveling her food ravenously into her mouth, like a lion.
She just hoped she didn't choke on it.
