She was on her original dimention, fighting off yet another alien invasion, when she first met Martha Jones. A sassy, young, beautiful UNIT agent by the name of Martha Jones, with who she found herself fighting said aliens, back to back, each of them armed with a shotgun.
It was a wonderful first meeting (because nothing says wonderful quite like fighting for your life, right?) and Rose was starstruck from the start. She was gorgeous, she was badass… she was perfect.
"I'm running low on ammo! Got a plan now?" the woman she'd later know as Martha shouted over the screech of aliens approaching to them.
"I do" Rose informed her, grabbing her hand. "Run!"
And they never stopped running together, from that day onwards.
