How cool is that? callmesandy and I will be opening this thing up to signups on January 15, but first, we'd like your help in finalizing The List. People who have participated in past Femslash Ficathons know that The List includes the fandoms that are most likely to be requested and

I'm sure you're right, but it's not my fandom (or callmesandy's, so we wanted to make the most informed decision possible. The poll choices include ALL of the suggestions we received. So far, people's votes are bearing you out.

Doctor Who currently has two spinoff series airing (Torchwood, which just finished its first series, and the Sarah Jane Adventures, which had its premiere on the first and will be airing later this spring), both of which have plenty of femslash opportunities. (And probably *most* of the people who would write femslash in Doctor Who would be familiar with them.). Any chance of widening that category out a bit to include the spinoff series? (Especially as all told, you're talking right now about 14 episodes of television for both spinoffs. And it's not like the Doctor Who universe isn't incredibly massive already. *g*)

Actually, we both assumed those two spin-offs were included in "doctor who." So yes!

The *only* reason I didn't assume that was because Buffy and Angel were separated out. *g*

Just to throw this out here--is there any way to designate between the old series of Doctor Who and the new? Because, for instance, I'm not sure I'd want to write any femslash with the new series/new spinoffs, but I'd love to participate with old school Who. Would that just be dealt with given my pairing choices? What if someone gets assigned Who who hasn't seen old Who (or vice versa, hasn't seen the new)?

For the "most like to see added," how expansive do you consider Doctor Who? Does that include Torchwood, the new spinoff? Because Gwen is pretty. *g*

"Birds of Prey." When people write DCU femslash, that's what the vast majority of them write anyway.

In the DCU, most of the femslash I see is actually in Outsiders. Even before our OTP of extreme awesome was canon. *g*

Ha. So not my/our fandom, this is just what someone told us in the comments of the preliminary poll. It doesn't look like that's going to be the outcome, anyway, so.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it's really hard to assess the popularity of a new fandom -- that's what the preliminary poll was for. Either way, the movie's a few years old, and (especially judging from the results above) there are fandoms with broader appeal.
