eeeeeeeee!! EMILY!!! i love this sooo much. and i laughed so hard. especially at this:

Emily smiles, the big, wide smile she usually reserves for sample sales and sushi.

(sample sales and sushi!!)

Emily considers for the thousandth time buying stock in Coke, because she knows that so long as there are clothes, there'll be models, and as long as there are models, there'll be a bunch of hungry people desperate for something with no calories and a satisfyingly chemical aftertaste.(god, seriously ( ... )

I love this. Emily's great, and I love that you really got into what her character is like and where she must have come from--that drive she's got to succeed, her essential perserverance and intelligence. And also what that costs her. Jocelyn's character was a great surprise too. And I'm echoing theclosetalker on how awesome the pun is on Emily Blunt's name. *g*

This is excellent. I didn't much like the movie or the book (probably due to my apathy towards the fashion industry), but I did find Emily to be amusing, and this is a wonderful, sympathetic-yet-snarky-and-real portrait of her.

I think everyone else has said it perfectly, this is an amazing fic. It's complex and well written, where you can actually picture Emily saying and doing those things and it certainly doesn't hurt that it focuses on my favorite character. Excellent job.

I must agree that I laughed and groaned at the punn on Emily Blunt's name...I loved the way you created this, was particularly moved at the end with the description of Serena; warm and tall and beautiful...(or thereabouts)this begs a sequel, there really isn't enough DWP fiction out there, thankyou for the pleasure of this read....
