Such a weird pairing, but still a very enjoyable story. I like the banter they have and the casualness after they're together. Great job, especially for not having written in so long. :)

That was my thought when I initally recieved the request: "Faith/Dawn? People write that? Huh." But like I said, I did some research, read other people's stories, and I began to see the possibilities.

Oh I'm so excited. I was really most of all wanting Faith and Dawn. I find it a hugely appealing pairing.

I loved the idea behind this. Faith not having any memory of Dawn as the baby sister makes such a big difference to their interaction.

The conversation was excellent. Made me giggle at times but also I found it quite moving, especially the way they felt sort of removed from Buffy's death but still broken about it.

Loved the way they got it together. Faith being all direct and excellent once she knows what she can have. And I loved the ease of the relationship after they got it together, loved that no one was freaking out. It was sweet and felt like real people with real emotions.

I understand what you're saying about the first person POV. I don't typically write in that POV except in original fic, but this story just presented itself to me in Dawn's voice. I'll be the first to admit there are probably areas needing a touch-up, but being the first thing I've written in awhile, I feel like I should let it settle for a few days.

Anyway, enough of that. :) I'm so pleased you enjoyed the story, and you liked the last line. That last scene has been in my head from the very start, and I'm thrilled to hear that it works in the same way I was intending it to.

Damn, this really appealed to me. I've often thought I would like to see a story about someone who didn't remember Dawn. Or someone for whom the spell was working properly - maybe flitting in and out. I think I would have liked to have seen *more* of this but I found it compelling all the same.

And I *really* liked the ending with the shell. That's an ending that sticks around, you know? *g*

Thanks. I'm so happy people are responding to the last scene. The fic more or less started with that final scene, and the general idea of Faith not having Dawn-memories, and sort of was built backwards.
