Today is a friend's birthday party and we're going on the Land Shark which is going to be awesome.
Also, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I'm on the last of the Twilight series... anyone on my FL read them? If so, what did you think?

i thought the first one was actually a pretty good book but then it became this weird mormon wait-for-marriage propaganda and the quality of the writing just PLUMMETED exponentially over the course of the books.
what'd you think?

While I found the writing to be fairly poor, I did find the stories captivating. At least the first one. Then there was a lot of adolescent moping, which, while I had a "been there, done that" kind of feeling, I didn't really want to READ about it. It was simply tied off so neatly, not all that original, etc. but I found the part where Bella transitioned into a vampire to be interesting.
