I was supposed to go to campus today to meet with my advisor, but he asked to push it off to Monday morning, and since it's rainy and I am a little tired and meh this morning, I was all \0/ \0/ \0/ to his apologetic email--which he probably didn't expect, lol. This has meant that I have done nothing but lie on the couch for the past three hours with Pansy draped over me, both of us reading Harry/Draco fic. Well, okay, I'm reading and every so often she bats a paw at the screen which I interpret as her approval of our reading material.
Speaking of Harry/Draco, I've been reading some older fics that I hadn't read yet, one of them being
annafugazzi's
Bond. (Yes, yes, I know. I can't believe I hadn't read it either, but in my defense I came into H/D from Snaco and Snarry, so there are a number of older fics I haven't caught up with yet.) Anyway. One of the things that
annafugazzi's done that I love is the Timestamp Meme, adding bits and pieces of extra scenes in at readers' request. And since I've been wanting to gather some prompts to write nonfest fic as I have time over the next few months... :)
As I understand it, the way this works is that you pick a fic, and a time and place from that fic, as well as a character's POV, and I'll write at least a drabble for it. (Although you guys know me. My drabbles are usually 1000 words. So you'll probably get much more.) If there's a scene in a fic you've wanted to see that may have been glossed over or referred to but not written, or a character's view of a scene that you've been curious about, or if you've wondered what actually happened after X happened or what occurred after a fic ends, feel free to prompt me. I'm limiting it to my Harry Potter fics, and you can find all 67 of them
here. With any luck I'll get a few prompts here that I can dip into and write short(er) fics over the course of the semester while I'm procrastinating from, you know, reading Julian of Norwich. *looks shifty and kicks Shewings under the couch* (Oh, Julian, I love you so much, bb, but in large doses your creative spelling makes my head hurt...)
