Okay, so the crux of this post started off with
noeon sending me a photograph of Matt Smith this morning. The next thing I knew, I'd downloaded over 60 pictures from Google Image Search and had decided to do a Matt Smith picspam.
I love Matt Smith. I've loved him since I saw him in Party Animals, and when it was announced over a year ago that he was going to come on to Doctor Who as the Eleventh Doctor, I nearly died of utter and complete GLEE. He is adorable, and an phenomenal actor and I have absolutely no doubt he's going to be a unbelieveably awesome Doctor. I know a lot of people don't really know much about him, so let me introduce to him to you. I'm hoping you end up adoring him as much as I do.

Oh, and I should say that to the very, very best of my knowledge, there are no spoilery photos for Doctor Who in this picspam. I deliberately stayed far, far, far away from those particular photographs. There is one publicity photo from a year ago when the announcement for the Eleventh Doctor was made and one more recent photo of Matt with his new companion and a fan, but from what I can tell they're wearing their own clothes, not Doctor Who costumes. (I recognize the scarf Matt's wearing in the photo as his own. *g*) So if you're avoiding Who spoilers, you should be safe here.
Party Animals: This is the role that made me a blithering Matt Smith fangirl. Party Animals is a BBC series that only ran 8 episodes. It takes place in Westminster, specifically in the Portcullis House offices of two upwardly mobile MPs, one Labour, one Tory. Matt plays Danny Foster, the senior researcher for Labour MP Jo Porter, and I LOVE him. I wrote my Yuletide fic for this fandom and I have every intention of writing more in it this year,even though like maybe five people know what the hell it is. :D

Moses Jones: A three-part BBC miniseries aired in February 2009 in which Matt plays the part of DS Dan Twentyman who assists DI Moses Jones on a murder investigation in London's Ugandan community.

The Ruby In The Smoke: The first of Philip Pullman's Sally Lockhart novels (in which Billie Piper's supposed to be 16, AHAHHAHAHAHAAH.) Matt played Jim Taylor in the BBC telefilm that aired December 2006.
All I have to say is three piece wool suit and newsboy cap? I AM SO THERE.
