It's 3 am and I have finally, finally, after about 14 combined hours of toil, beat
the damn CSS code for my LJ into submission.
This redesign was a bear--I went with more CSS graphics than I usually do which required math to lay them out so they all matched up. But. Vini, vidi, vici! And it's been tested in Firefox and Safari on the Mac by me and

(Incidentally, it's slightly broken over here, but I'm willing to bet it's my resolution doing that, which is pretty unpopular. So whatever. :))

Hm...it could be your resolution; that and browser settings can skew CSS a bit, depending. How's it breaking?

The centre panel (journal itself, including header graphic), is about a centimetre half an inch below the background, so the lines don't line up. And the rounded edges of this reply box don't quiiite line up with the text, but that's absolutely minute. Didn't she do an amazing job with it? OMG, I was so happy when she sent it to me. I may have flailed at her like crazy... :D

Even my husband thinks it's incredible, and he's pretty meh about anything HP related.
I love the sense of dimension it has, how the lower border becomes the bar, and Draco's head and Harry's hand spill into the top border. Not to mention the detail, and the hands!
I was chatting with Dray as she was working on it - I know just how much care and effort she put into it (despite my teasing about her that she should leave Harry shirtless, simply because I think you can never go past a nekkid Harry) - but the finished product was just SO MUCH more than I could have anticipated.
I am all envy! Your journal looks amazing, and you have something totally beautiful and unique to you.
