Quiet nights of quiet stars, quiet chords from my guitar floating on the silence that surrounds us

Cold - 1, Femme - 0, blech. THEY WERE WORTH IT, so there, you stupid sore throat and sniffly nose and achy body.

Okay, I've had this post ready since November 3 and it's a sign of my insanely busy life that it's taken me this long to actually get a chance to link the songs and post this. Sigh.

Anyway...

So a week or so ago, jjtaylor asked for a mixtape, any theme. I couldn't resist.

I wanted to come up with a playlist for a rainy day, and from there I kind of spiralled out into a playlist for a rainy day with a bit of an aurorbabe/dozhd twist, which JJ will understand. *g* But for those of you who have entirely no clue what I'm talking about, um, just think of this as songs for two semi-star-crossed lovers walking along a riverbank in the rain. :D

As always, right-click, save-as, and comments would be lovely for bandwidth tracking. Songs will be up for a week and then taken down. If you like any of the artists, please go out and purchase their work.

Thicker Than Water - Todd Hann
Early Morning Rain - Eva Cassidy
Nantes - Beirut
Black Sheep Boy - Okkervil River
Sentyabr Dozhdi (September Rain) - Alexander Dolsky
Butterfly Nets - Biship Allen
Show Me The River - Eastmountainsouth

sharing, music
