Battlestar Galactica
THE SEASON PREMIERE WAS THIS FRIDAY!! I lovded it! Kara is back, and Lee gave her the biggest hug!! And she kinda blew off Anders!! And Gauis is the new Jesus. :D Now that's funny. The episode was too short, though. I was so wrapped up in it and then the "to be continued" thing rolled and I was like, Na-uh, it hasn't been an hour yet. Checked the clock and I saw that it had. How the frak did that happen?
I'm sad that this is the last season, but it looks like it's gonna be awesome.

What? Like you didn't see that one coming. Pfft! Okay, so I own the whole series aside from the OVA's, now. YAY ME!!
I watched Requiem last night, and it was sooooooo good! It had the same voice cast as the first two seasons, the animation was beautiful, the banter between Gojyo and Goku was made of win, and there was a commentary! Which was also made of win. Yes, I'm also one of the people who listens to the commentaries. All in all, I love the movie. Incidentally, the guy who does Goku's voice really sounds like Goku. That's his actual voice. And the dude (Greg Ayres) looks to be in his mid-thirties with platinum hair and a little overweight. Weird, huh?
I also finished Gunlock today, and I was getting pissed as I was watching it for the following reasons:
1) The characters are completely different from seasons 1+2. The group dynamic is off, the voices are different...it's a completely different show.
2) As much as I love Tony Oliver (he does the voice for Gojyo in Reload and Gunlock), he is - and will always be - Lupin III. He. Is not. Gojyo.
3) What the hell is up with Goku's voice?! They had the perfect guy in Requiem and S1+2! In Reload and Gunlock he sounds HORRIBLE!
4) I feel cheated on the scenery. All the towns look the same, all the motels look the same, and there was just too much desert. It looks like the animators weren't even trying!
5) Was Hazel really necessary? Don't get me wrong, you all know I have my priest fetish, but he was annoying as hell, and what is up with that cheesy-cliche Italian accent!? It was horrible! And his man-servant's name was "Cat"? Puh-leeze.
6) The Sanzo party is really having a hard time taking down Hazel and Gato!? Are we talking about the same group here? Remember at the end of season 2 when they took down Homura and 2 other, you know, GODS!!! THEY'RE FUCKING GOD-KILLERS!! THEY SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THIS DIFFICULT OF A TIME TAKING DOWN A FRUITY PRIEST AND HIS GOLLUM!!
7) I know that Goku is kind-hearted, but you don't have to be giving him woobie feelings for everyone that tries to kill him as soon as they're about to die. Please. It's annoying.
8) Sanzo is an asshole. That's a given. And I love him for it. But just who the hell was he supposed to be at the end of Gunlock, because that isn't the Sanzo I've come to know and love. He might not like the people he's travelling with 99% of the time, he might shoot at them daily, he might be one of the most selfish people in existence. BUT - he does have a reluctant friendship/kinship with the guys. Especially Goku. How he treated the rest of the group at the end of the series really pissed me off. Damn you Geneon for letting your characters act OOC.
9) Ending please? I want to see what happens. And I want ADV to get the rights back. Saiyuki was made of awesome when they owned/produced it. Geneon fucked it up.
10) I don't really have a "10". I just didn't want to leave it at "9".
So I don't think I'll be watching certain episodes of Gunlock anytime soon. And if I do, it'll be in Japanese with English subs.
Hana Yori Dango
Jesus H. Christ!! That show has waaay too much drama for its own good. But I loved it anyways. And does every girl Domyouji comes into contact with fall in love with him? There's Makino, Sakurako, Shigeru, and Umi! Not to mention the gaggle of the girls at the school who he's always pushing down.
I'm a little sad that Rui didn't end up with Makino, but Domyouji turned out to be a good guy. But Rui better get a girl. In fact, everyone in F4 should get a happy ending. Even Yuki.
Can't wait for the movie!! It comes out in June.
Bleach
Not much to say, since there hasn't been a new episode, but I was cruising the pit looking for a Grimmjow/Anyone fic. Biiiig mistake! There were some hot Grimm/Hime and Grimm/Ichigo, but I came across a Grimm/Renji rape!fic. *shudders*
My jaw literally dropped in disbelief. I clicked on the story to see if it was at least good. It wasn't, and now I need brain bleach.
So that about covers it. I'm gonna eat a sammich, have a smoke, and fall asleep to some Homura infused Saiyuki to get the taste of Gunlock out of my mouth.
