Then the High Council discovers that Phoebe has royal blood pulsing through her veins, and in order to maintain control over Castlepertalle, they banish her and kill her father for treason. Phoebe takes her father’s mysterious amulet, the only thing in the world that matters more to her than her own life, and she hides out in a neighboring kingdom only to have the amulet stolen by the sorceress Lydia d’Ellione. Lost and without a home to return to, Princess Phoebe must use her connection to her past lives to defeat the sorceress and take back Castlepertalle from the corrupt High Council.
