But! Not only is it very hot, but it also pleases me immensely by working for me both, er, politically while also being totally in character. There's presumed Wincest-in-the-past but it's dealt with in a way that makes more sense to me than almost any other interpretation I've read. Like, he misses Dean. He has issues, but they don't overwhelm the part of the story that is about hotness and how he loves this girl in the here and now. And he's not just trying to be a good boyfriend--he's succeeding to the best of his ability, even if it means he's not telling her the entire truth. Also? The Dean in his head is making lewd comments and egging him on. That is love!
Damn it. I used to have this Sam Winchester icon that was the "Hi, I'm the sexiest thing you have ever seen and I would like very much to take it like a man from a girl like you" icon. WHY ON EARTH WOULD I HAVE TAKEN SOMETHING LIKE THAT DOWN???
