I love the details, the attention to objects as symbols and the passing of time. I love Dean fixing up an Impala! I love the self-awareness and the marginalia in letters!
Really, okay, here's what sums it up: while reading this I was torn between wanting to savor it and rush through so I could rec it.
Um, there were other things that made me happy today, like rain and lots of tea and chatting with greenapricot and emailing back and forth with onelittlesleep and starting a new book, but there was also this.
