(no subject)
Happy 2007, El Jay! This morning/afternoon I seem to be incapable of getting out of my nighty, even though I am supposed to be eventually motivating to go over to my friend E's place to watch Angel DVDs. This is kind of ridiculous because she only lives a few blocks from me.
I have been drinking tea and watching Joan of Arcadia and also going through the embarrassing amount of pics of Jared Padalecki on my HD and uploading to Photobucket all the ones that make me exclaim, "He's trying to KILL ME." To make a picspam perhaps? I'm not sure that the world is really in dire need of that, so before I do so I'll make a poll to see if people actually WANT that.

++++ Sister, My Sister - SPN - R - “Winsisters” AU. Sam/Jo, hints of Sam/Dee - Same universe as Big Girls Don’t Cry, but parallel with early-S2 SPN. Five connected 100-word drabbles. Sam doesn’t know how to be the care-taking one, not with Dee.
++++ Little Green - Buffyverse/SPN Crossover - PG13 - Faith-centric, Faith & "Jan" (daughter of Faith and Dean), Dean, Sam - Set in the Glimpses 'Verse - This is penance, Faith decides. Killers shouldn’t get to be domestic. And women who abandon their newborn babies after the umbilical cord’s just been cut don't deserve a second chance. She told that to Dean a thousand times, but the dumbass insisted on forgiving her. About 2500 words.

I also read over the fic I posted in the wee hours of this morning, Straight Line, and decided that I do actually like it. Which caused me to have a thought! I've noticed that most of the fics of mine that I ended up liking the most were ones that tormented me to write, or which I feared were *impossible* to do well. My favorite of my Buffyverse fics, for example, Waiting for the Apocalypse seriously had me tearing my hair out over it. This is not always the case--my apparently most popular SPN fic, Sam's Watched Porn Before was written feverishly in like less than hour in response to a smutty conversation I'd been having with onelittlesleep about Sam (something that NEVER happens, snerk). I'm thinking there's a lesson here, but I'm too foggy to articulate it. It probably has something to do with having faith, or I don't know, how *revision* and process are important.
ANYWAY, enough about me and my scribbling, did you NOT KNOW that onelittlesleep posted Epic Sammy Het Fic yesterday? She's a big dork and sent me this silly apologetic email about how she's embarrassed because it was supposed to be for me and she's not happy with it but *I* am satisfied, except for the fact that it has this cliffhangerish thing at the end where I WANT MORE TODAY, not tomorrow or next week. It's not just a Sam/OFC fic, it's a whole world-building AU in which Ellen has a freaking slew of daughters and stuff.
ETA: [Insert squishy things about how SO, SO many of you made this last year (which for me was full of trials, changes and major life adjustments) brighter, funnier, pervier, and survivable.]
