Vid Rec, MUCH FLAILING, and some fic recs
+++++Oh Jesus. Somebody finally answered my prayers for a Faith/Dean vid, and set to Ani Difranco no less. That person would be monkeycrackmary and the vid can be found here. I would be more articulate about this, but I just...can't right now. But I can tell you that there is all kinds of character insight and parallels and SAM, and Faith/Buffy past/retrospective stuff and holy crap. Sure, it wasn't made for me, but it kinda feels like it right now. Heh.
Also, since greenapricot just left, I am consoling myself by reading fanfic for the first time in like a week. And I made excellent choices, yes I did. Run, don't walk to read poisontaster's Sam/Jess/Dean fic This is How We Do it, Baby. It's a sequel to mona1347's equally awesome Sam/Jess/Dean story and it's quite an accomplishment--both create a fabulously tough-ass AU Jess and a believable threesome pairing complete with love all around and desperation tempered with determination. Hot damn.
And Ms. PT doesn't just knock my socks off with her writing, she also has good taste, because she recced this Sam-at-Stanford fic called Normal As a Relative Thing which just adds fuel to my Sammy love and my contention that that boy is way pervier than he lets on.
Vaguely related--ZOMG but Jared Padalecki can motherfuckin' kiss, even when he was wee. (Plus, bonus points to that clip for having both PJ Harvey AND Chad Michael Murray. And yes, I'm a Gilmore Girls lovin' geek. Can't help it--a show about gabby, pop-culture referencin' women from New England? Ring any bells?)
Hokay. Now. What I really need to do with the rest of this day is clean my apartment from the way that Pri and I trashed it over the last few days, do some annoying logistical crap involving my health insurance and bills (because I *am* apparently an "adult" despite all flaily, jailbait crushing on wee!Jared type posts of late), and then stare at my beta's notes and my own notes and try and whip the Fanmix Fic into shape. Um, we'll see. Perhaps some more coffee will help. *g*
