4 AM odds and ends
Yes, it 4:30 AM and once again I am still awake. This is partially because as greenapricot wisely says, "fangirling Jensen is better than caffeine" and also because my friend Dan made me too many pink drinks with blueberry vodka in them and it messed with me. I rambled at him maniacally about queer theory and then forced him to look at a lot of pictures of Jensen even though he is disturbed by the excess of pretty and just prefers his boyfriend Kiefer Sutherland to all else. That is when he's not comparing all things that happen in life to "Sex and the City."
++++alizarin_nyc is a genius because while we were on IM tonight she came up with the term "Wintension" for the kind of fic that people like the two of us write that engages the brotherly manlove but doesn't fully go there, even if we read it when other people do it the RIGHT WAY (for us). Meaning appropriately angsty and with a general lack of the term "baby."
++++alizarin_nyc also has chosen to start referring to me as a "Stackles" aka Stalker of Ackles. Yet I only want to stalk him on the internets, despite the fact that he may end up coming to Chicago to that weird CW thing. But see, I'm not interested in meeting famous people ON PURPOSE. I'd generally rather that they stay safely in fantasy object land. And also, I'm somewhat perturbed by the way that the whole CW thing is about branding and their corporate identity and all of that. Because yes, I am a gleeful consumer of their media products but am still squicky about being a straight-up cheerleader for the corporate media. But anyway, speaking of random famous people, if I wasn't so weird about posting pics of myself in public posts (though half of you, flist, have seen my crazy, redheaded self via writercon), I would post this ridiculous picture of a drunken and bleached blonde me, my ex-girlfriend and Corey Feldman.
++++I am also pleased that at least a few other people are down with the Stony, bantery Jensen/Eliza/Kane sexin' with a side of Padackles!longing. That's cool, yo.
++++And here is your iota of content for this post: astartexx made an Impala Vid vid set to Poe's song "Hey Pretty." It is a thing of beauty, people, both the vid and the car. It's just got such an amazing fluid quality to the editing, which is so awesome considering the subject is something that, you know, moves really fast. And it's got some of the best use of additional sound (smidges of dialogue) that I've ever *heard* in a fanvid.
And l_aurens, I will try and make some non-Supernatural-related comments in the near future. Promise.
