Freaking Enormous Vid Recs Post
Perhaps you are aware that I'm a big vidding groupie. Anyway, I've been promising to do this for awhile. So here are some of my favorite vids. I'm sure I've left some things out (actually I know that I did because a lot of links are now broken[/sadness]) but OMG THIS TOOK FOREVER. But at least I have all the links in one place now. And y'all better be grateful. *g* And then go and FB those vidders. *looks stern*

+++I Touch Myself by pukajen and ascian3. Spike/Buffy. Pop-up video. Hilarious. Song by the Divinyls.
+++The Song of the Count by Cybermintz (scroll down). Spike/Buffy. When Seseme Street meets all the most sexass parts of S6? Awesome. The effects in this vid work really well too.
+++ Haunted by astartexx. Spike/Cordelia. Yes, Spike/Cordelia. You've never thought of that? Neither had I. And didn't they only have like two scenes together? Yes. That's why you should watch this vid, because she makes them share space in an amazing way and creates her own parallel storyline which works just beautifully. Song by Poe.
+++ Circle of Light also by astartexx. Spike/Angel. It might seem rather odd to make a S/A vid to Ani Difranco, especially one with the word "light" in the title. But it works.
+++Closer by sisabet. Spike/Angel. Who exactly hasn't seen this vid? There are reasons, many of them, that it is THE S/A vid. Better than porn. Song by Nine Inch Nails.
+++ Bullet With Butterfly Wings by bradcpu. Spike Character/Action Vid. A rather fresh take on a Spike vid. Song by Smashing Pumpkins.
+++Superstar by heresluck. Faith Character Vid. Similarly to "Closer," I doubt there's many people who haven't seen this, but it had to be recced anyway. Song by Tegan & Sara.
+++ The Hand That Feeds by obsessive24. Faith and Connor. Action vid. NOT 'shippy, more of an exploration of their character parallels and relationship with Angel. Also, if you like to watch Faith or Connor kicks things, this vid is like porn. Song by Nine Inch Nails.
+++ Black, Black Heart by dualbunny. Spike + Duster. This vid is like candy if you're a Spike fangirl. I watch it when I'm going to be writing Spike...for inspiration. Song by David Usher.
+++ Jesus Walks by mimesere. Gunn Character vid. Great rhythm and character insight. Song by Kanye West.
+++Blade by Aimee. Really interesting. This vid takes ALL of the sound to the movie trailer for "Blade" and vids it to AtS footage. Matches perfectly.
+++ My Band by f1renze. AtS Ensemble, early-series. Vidlet. This vid just...makes me smile. And there is dancing!Angel in it which always pleases me. Song by D12.
+++Whatever by sisabet and sockkpuppett. An AU (heh) where Angel is a LaLa Land club boy. Hee.
And finally, I will say that if you can find a way to get your hands on "Scooby Road" by sockkpuppett aka Luminosity I highly recommend that you do so. It's all of the Beatles album "Abbey Road" vidded to the entire series of BtVS. So it's a big file and I think you have to email her to get it.

"Knock Me Out" is a Mal/Simon vid that integrates footage from the arty and homoerotic short film "Un Chant D'amour" (which I'd seen before in a queer film class in college--nerd points!). This vid is just...look, I'm not even a hardcore Mal/Simon 'shipper at all, but I am while watching this vid. Slashety-slash-slash-pretty. Uh Huh. Song by Linda Perry.
"Body" is the vid that tipped the scales towards me 'shipping Mal/River. 'Nuff Said. Song by The Servant.
"Wires" is a Simon and River vid, Crazy Space Incest optional. Song by Athlete. "Post Blue" is also a Simon and River vid, CSI not so optional. Even if you're not into the CSI, I'd say watch it (because dude, that subtext is there regardless and this vid is phenomenal).

+++ Somebody Told Me by obsessive24. Young Americans. Jake/Hamilton. If you did not watch this show (which aired for about two seconds in 2000, I think), it features a young Katherine Moennig (Shane from the L Word) as a girl crossdressing as a boy in order to go to a Boy's Prep school. And she falls in love with her best male friend who is IAN SOMERHOLDER. And he wants her back when he thinks she is a boy, and thinks that he's gay. And she rides a motorcycle AND HE RIDES BITCH ON IT. Guh. Kink alert. Kink Alert. obsessive24's vids have gotten more polished since she made this, but it's still good, and fast-paced and zomg with the hotness. Song by the Killers. Yes, that song.
