After her exploration adventure with Rune, Emeraude hadn't really done much. She barely left her room, in fact. It was almost suspicious. Still, she had been very excited to hear that the girls' night that she and Del had planned was finally going through.

It hadn't taken her long to skip happily through the City's plaza, past the fountain, and over to the building in which Del lived. Humming a sweet tune to herself, she rapped delicately at the door, rocking back and forth on her heels as she waited for one of the twins - being unaware that Tesu was gone as she was - to answer the door.

Emmy might hear a muffled thumping noise--Del was poking around under the couch and smacked her head--followed by some rather colorful Japanese.

"It's open," she called, backing up, and shaking the dust from her hair.

She opened the door slowly, peeking in past the frame to see what exactly spawned the colourful language and the onomatopoeia of hitting one's head, stifling giggles all the while. Deciding that it was safe, the princess slipped in and shut the door behind her, smiling sympathetically at Del, "Are you quite alright? It seems like everyone I go near lately gets hurt in some regard." She laughed finally, though behind one hand, then took a short look around the room. It looked all ready for their girls' night in.

"I'm fine, I'm fine," she sighed. "The remote decided it wanted to grow legs and walk off somewhere. It aways happens after Twin's done watching something. She puts it down, and then a week later when she wants it again, we have to do a dual apartment hunt."

Along with the food, there were some fuzzy blankets thrown over the couch to compensate for the slowly cooling temperatures, and of course, the DVD-and-movie collection the practically sprawled a whole wall.

"Oh, I understand," she nodded, still chuckling quietly. "Where is she, anyway? I haven't seen her round in a while..."

Emmy admired the massive collection of films lined up on the wall, then nibbled her lower lip in anticipation, "What are we going to watch?"

"She's... gone," Del looked away briefly, not wanting to show just how much 'gone' hurt her. "I think she went home. I hope she went home."

The movies were a good distraction, and she shrugged lightly.

"Pick something," she invited. "Goodness knows there's more than enough to chose from."

Emmy paused, her face falling slightly as she reached out to touch Del's shoulder reassuringly. Biting her lip, she tried to think of something to tell her, but instead turned to the wall of films, scanning them for something interesting. "Any recommendations?" Her voice tried to stay light and cheerful; she knew as well as anyone how much Tesu being gone would bother Del.

It was probably better that Emeraude didn't try to reassure Del. Having rarely explained the connection to anyone meant that while they would try they wouldn't fully understand.

"Finding Neverland is decent, if a bit of a sad story," she tipped her head thoughtfully. "There's Mel Brooks films like Men in Tights if you want a laugh though."

And then she blinked. The remote was sitting innocently on the shelf, on top of a stack of anime. She huffed, and shook her head. Only Tesu.

She continued scanning the shelves until finding something that looked interesting. She wasn't quite sure that a sad story would be good if Del was missing Tesu, but that Men in Tights film sounded interesting. Grabbing that and another one that seemed entertaining, she held them both up. "Are these ones good, then?" Emmy asked with a chipper smile.

Del nodded as she got to her feet, and grabbed a nearby folding stool, carrying it over to the shelf where the remote lay. Since neither she, nor Tesu were particularly tall, they had a half-dozen scattered about the two apartments.

"They should be good," she smiled a little impishly as she grabbed the remote. "Nothing's better than a Mel Brooks film for laughs."

True that. xD princesseimi November 27 2009, 01:36:18 UTC
Emeraude set the two DVDs beside the player, not wanting to mess with technology she didn't fully understand, and moved to the couch, settling down there neatly. "I'm glad to hear it," she laughed in anticipation, taking another look around at all the things set up for their girls' night in. It was so nice to spend time with people, especially when there were so few now left in the City that she already knew.

"Help yourself to anything lying around," Del nodded at the bowls of popcorn, candy, and other displayed treats as she popped the case open and extracted the movie. "There's soda, water, milk, and juice too."

In truth, it was probably a bit much for just the two of them. She was used to having three or four other girls besides her and Tesu for things like this. Still, even if they didn't finish anything off, there would be snack for later, when she was distracted with music once again.

Emmy glanced to a nearby bowl of candy and pulled a piece out, popping it into her mouth delicately. She really did have such a sweet tooth. It did look like a lot, but she could always take some of it home for herself. Keep it away from Kaito and all that.

She took up a handful of popcorn and carefully placed it in her mouth, chewing thoughtfully. Her eyes stared in the general direction of Del, but seemed to be staring off into space more than that. "What sorts of soda?" She inquired after a moment.

She had forgotten about Emmy's sweet tooth, actually. Ah well, as long as it was eaten, or taken care of, then it wouldn't matter.

"There's... all kinds, really," she looked over her shoulder at the older woman, a touch surprised. Had Emmy actually experienced soda before? She couldn't remember hearing about it. "Sprite, Mt. Dew, Dr. Pepper, 7-up.. Wasn't sure what you'd like, so I grabbed several different kinds."

She continued to munch happily on some of the bowls around her, mixing it up periodically so it didn't look like she was just eating one thing.

The only time she'd really had soda was with Shinju - not a surprise, really - and that had been Dr Pepper. Of course, it was no surprise either when she instantly chimed with that very name, far too excited about it to suggest anything less than a pleasant memory.

Yup. Nice kitty, but needs an actual home. femmebutdanger November 28 2009, 00:50:03 UTC
Dr. Pepper it was, and Del went to retrieve a bottle for Emmy while the movie ran through its standard start-up procedure, including the silly, old previews for clothes that had long since stopped being made.

She preferred the clear sodas herself, and had 7-up with her as well when she returned and plopped onto the couch next to her friend.

"The humor might be a little obscure," she warned with a smile as she passed over the soda and snagged a bowl of popcorn for herself. "So if you have to ask, don't worry about it."
