Kira Nerys hated admitting she was hurting. She never admitted it out right and often she would try hard not to flinch when people touched her, today had been hard and she had flinched visibly when Jadzia touched her, unable to hide the pain in her eyes. She had run then, ashamed of it. Not thinking to look too hard she had slammed headlong into River, crying into the woman’s shoulder as River held her.
Gentle hands stroked her back and Nerys stilled when River kissed her softly, taking her time to pleasure the woman, to prove that not everyone was out to hurt her.
