Melinda Warner rarely let herself cry but as she stood on Detective Benson’s doorstep she couldn’t stop the tears coming. Her brown eyes were hidden behind her black-brown hair.
Olivia tucked her brown hair out of rich brown eyes then tugged the door open, gently pulling Melinda inside before shutting and locking the door, gently hugging Melinda closer. “It’s okay Melinda… it’s okay…”
“He’s divorced me Olivia.” Melinda choked it out, nearly crying. Again.
“Oh Melinda…” Olivia murmured, gently stroking Melinda’s hair and letting her relax and calm.
