Jack Hodgins had always had a bit of a soft spot for Cam Saroyan, not that he’d ever admit it. He knew that was most definitely a very bad idea. Still when she admitted she’d never once been kissed under the Christmas mistletoe he’d made a point of hanging a branch or two over her office doorway, knowing that would solve it.
Booth had been the first to be caught out, kissing Cam shyly and making his excuses seconds later. Jack had been amused to see it and when Brennan was next he hid instantly, fearing Cam’s reaction. Cam had been surprisingly calm about it but she’d only received a soft peck on the cheek. Next was Angela who also kept it soft and easily friendly, not daring to press for more.
Slowly the lab was filling with people who were shy and seemed to hide from Cam. The time eventually came when he was caught under the mistletoe. Unlike most he went for it, giving Cam a definitely cheeky and full-on kiss, not pulling back until they both needed some air. Her small sigh of happiness was all the reward he needed.
