Safe in your arms..
Gaius Baltar had always been a prize ass. D’Anna Biers had known that for years but she’d only realised exactly how bad when she found herself at the side of a birthing pool, waiting for Six to surface again. Gaius had hurt Six enough that the woman died and now… now D’Anna would have to pick up the mess.
Six surfaced with a primal cry, thrashing desperately for a while before she calmed, D’Anna’s soft whispers of comfort soon soothing her. She settled eventually and trusted D’Anna enough to let the woman help her out of the pool, washing and dressing quickly before she joined D’Anna in the small room they shared.
Gaius had been killed about an hour after finally inflicting damage on Six. He’d been close to killing D’Anna enough times but the fact he’d managed to actually strangle Six had alarmed both women. D’Anna had stood by as Six wept over the man’s body before they left, clearly Six had still had feelings for the man.
The woman’s trembling hadn’t eased after another two hours and eventually D’Anna realised she’d have to take the woman to bed, to try and calm her further. Six had curled close and seemed to relax as D’Anna stroked her hair and back, a small flicker of self-doubt arising in her eyes before D’Anna kissed her softly, still stroking her hair.
“Go to sleep Caprica…”
Her accent played heavily on the words but it was clear she was trying to sooth the woman and Six had relaxed under her touch, clearly feeling safe in D’Anna’s company.
