D'Anna/Laura

The first time Laura Roslin and D’Anna Biers met they had struck a deal. D’Anna had done what she was asked and made a point of keeping the extra footage so that she could show it to others. When she was asked to go back to Laura’s ship and ask her permission to follow the woman she did so gladly, ignoring the longing she felt for a proper home. She’d had one once but now she didn’t.

As it was D’Anna arrived just as someone made a move to trap Laura in a corner and D’Anna was forced to think fast. For once she put aside her camera and moved, fast and sleek, like a panther, getting between the man and Laura, eyes sparking with anger.

“Leave her alone.”

D’Anna’s voice was strong and when the man made to slap her she caught it fast, yanking roughly enough to hurt before shoving him away and staring angrily, refusing to move away and let the woman be hurt. Once the man was gone and she was sure Laura was alright they got straight to business.

Laura had been at D’Anna side the day that Helena Cain had arrived to try to force the woman into admitting what she was, D’Anna clearly scared but sure of herself even as she denied it. As she reached her breaking point, Admiral Cain reaching toward the woman in a way that was both menacing and dangerous, Laura stepped in, quietly sure of herself as she assured Helena that she would be taking care of the woman and she was sure that she could handle any problems they may have caused already.

Helena hadn’t been happy but had agreed, going back to the Pegasus to meet her fate. What she didn’t realise was that she’d helped fate push two very lonely people closer together. Laura had seen the look in D’Anna’s eyes and spoken up softly.

“I owed you one for saving me.”

D’Anna had smiled calmly and shrugged.

“So, now we’re even can we maybe get along?”

“Of course.”
