Yes, well, I was thinking about doing the Bones thing for a bit... but I really haven't actually WATCHED enough of it yet to 'get' the characters.

You little sneak!!!! We've been talking about writing for weeks and you are GOOD at this whole misdirection thing!

I admit I did suddenly just...knew at one point last week (at yet another of my "I could beta for you..." moments when you said, "You've said") that "Oh...she's writing for me, I'll bet." So...I tried to back off a bit, but didn't for a SECOND think you were NOT writing the Bones fic you said you were writing for your recipient.

And then to get SAM...and GOOD Sam, with glimpses of moments in her life, with the way her brain works, with the cooking fiasco, with a moment with her mom, with Mark teasing her, and Janet, with her suspecting that Hammond was a hellraiser, and "ENTITY" fic!!, and...OH how I LOVE it.

I think possibly my favorite thing is her list of the things she'd do if she has/had more time...and you being clever enough to have them all be things that she DOES do more of after this point (time with Cassie, pool, Star Wars with Teal'c). It makes me all kinds of happy

This is terrific! And I say that as someone who has HUGE suspension-of-disbelief issues with "Entity." :-D I especially love the bit about cooking, and how it pulls together the various (occasionally contradictory) references in canon in a way that makes perfect psychological sense.

It's just so. Very. Sam.
