*gleefully rubs hands* Oh, this is awesome. Awesome and full of the stuff I love about Torchwood--wacky mystery, death and human failings. Also, Gwen pointing guns at people. And Tosh and Ianto being snarky.

Oh! Oh oh! You are MADE of AWESOME and I do not have the words to thank you enough. This is so very much better than anything I had thought of - you took my prompt and made it GOLD! :) I loved every minute of this fic - all the characters were so perfectly in character, especially witty Ianto and snippy Owen. I swear this reads like a lost episode - if only they would go ahead and make it! I love the Torchwood-esque ending and adore you all the more for making Suzie the "initial" cuprit! And oh! oh oh oh oh oh!! SAXON! AND THE REASON TORCHWOOD THREE WAS NOT THERE FOR THE FIRST CONTACT!!!

You have just made my ENTIRE week, if not my month. This was completely fantastic and I shall have to read it again some time very soon to make sure I didn't miss any of the fabulous wonderfulness that is this fic.

I am SO THRILLED that you liked it!!!

I fretted and fretted about this, and then engaged in MASSIVE Research Based Procrastination. (How much I now know about Nepal: Let me tell you it. ...Honest to god, there is a "Borderlands Resort" that is about where I put them--close to Kodari--that advertises "Lodging: tents--but you're not roughing it!") I researched obsessively until I tied myself up into knots about all the details and got totally fixated on the research so that I was ENTIRELY BLOCKED.

I finally did what I tell my students: START. WRITING. ANYWAY. And it finally started to work (go figure) and little things fell into place (Ianto knowing customs, Owen getting bitten) and I ended up pleased with it and I'm over the moon beyond thrilled that YOU like it!

I just wasn't sure if it would be TW enough or HotB enough or if it was going to be culturally insensitive/offensive or if the OCs would be just too cardboard-cutout or if it was going to be too rushed plot-wise and not fleshed out...

And that it WORKED for you! *
