Sooo Steve had a pro fight on Saturday. Mixed martial arts (think UFC). http://www.valleyfight.com/
He got QUITE the beating to the face.
Miraculously, after said beating he stood up, took the guy down, and managed to stay consious enough to heel hook him (twisted his ankle until it popped!) He is currently quite the hero at his club. Even the teacher of another club congratsulated him and wanted his picture...Telling Steve he is a modest fighter, and he can be great if he keeps that up (Although I dont know if after this he is going to continue :/
However, he started to puke his guts out in the change room and the fight doctor thought he should get to the hospital for a CT scan...just in case. After a lot of debate as to whether Steve could walk or not, an Ambulance was called and we were wisked away to Emergency. After finally finding a bed, they tested him to make sure he was ok, and pumped him full of IV fluids till 3am.
He was ok after that...a couple days of dizziness and vomiting, but he is back on his feet. I have never felt so relieved. Fortunetly, he did not have a concussion, and he never blacked out.
ON TOP OF THAT
After spending that long in the hospital...I suspect the bad flu I just developed was probably caught from there....
So now I am home from work as well @_@
