Places to go...sooner than later
I've been thinking lately about things I really love doing, and one of those is travelling. I will pretty much go anyplace in the world (once), as long as I am reasonably sure I won't get killed while there (Iraq is out for now, but I really want to visit the region someday). In the interests of prioritizing, in the next 5 years I want to:
1. Make like a rich flapper socialite and travel on the Orient Express
2. Pay homage to the locked-room murder genre by weekending at an English Country Manor
3. Check out Darwin's living research lab (and the giant turtles!) in the Galapagos Islands
4. Return to one of the most amazing places I have ever seen...India. I especially want to check out Delhi and Goa...but anywhere on the subcontinent would be wonderful.
5. Check out Rome, and finally see all those places mentioned in my Latin books!
In the next decade, places calling my name include:
China
Egypt
Hong Kong
Thaliand
Croatia
Prague
Venice
