First post, and english is my second language, first this influence my ability of making nice sentence, so be kind, but even given that, if there's something that i write that you don't get or are unsure, feel free to ask!
I've searched the community just to see if there was something that has been posted on that, and i didn't see anything... but if it's a double, tell me!
Just to give the situation, here in Quebec there was a big and long and ongoing media-debate (that is, the media took a couple of 'reasonnable accomodation'(RA) - that is, accomodating mostly religious practices in the workplace/school/society- asked by religions others than christian - while it has been said and re-said that prostestants and christians and others more "occidental" religions are the ones who ask for the more RA's- so they took these RA's and made a big storm out of pratically nothing and then people were "THEY'RE ALL INVADING US WE HAVE TO PROTECT OUR ROOTS" and blabla - annoying)
So next to that debate, the government decided to put on a Commission that would go around cities and hear what people had to say about that. In the medias, it turned out that we heard mostly about white people beeing racist, while all POC's and/or people that were more "open", and we practically didn't heard about people who used that commission to make really important revendications-demands (let's say, a Montreal-based LGBT collective for Middle-East/North-Africa - Maghreb- people who talked about LGBT migrants rights from Maghreb, I did't got in the media).
And then, the Commission arrived in Montreal, and No one is Illegal organized a couple of protests against the Commission. NOOII, feminists from Concordia and the IWC made three declarations about how the commission is, in itself, false.
they can be found here :

Before you ask, i stand on NOII, Concordia and IWC side of analysis.
Ok, now i don't have enough concentration left for writing in english, i would have a lot of things to say on that but for another day. it pisses me off that the State's "feminists" (Conseil du Statut de la Femme) decided that women's right were superior to religious/cultural diversity rights. WTF ?
over.
edit : to add demands.
