This is in response to
this post and the belief that we, as Americans, and as citizens of the Western world, have a moral responsibility to assimilate other cultures to our own, (including, "BURQAS ARE BAD, POOR WOMEN"):
Please think on this.
I am of Greek descent and there is a song (in Greek, obviously) called "Fovamai", meaning "I am afraid."
The chorus goes, "I am afraid of the things that you do in my name, but without my consent."
We need to educate ourselves first before we make assumptions about others. We need to educate ourselves before we try to educate OTHERS. Who are we to moralize and crusade? (Yes, that's what this is. A crusade.)
