Female-run Police Stations

I found this article in the Christian Science Monitor. They have a very human rights oriented news paper and frequently have feminist news stories.

This one is about female-run police stations in Brazil.  I thought it was an interesting concept, allowing women to talk to other women about such things as rape and domestic violence.  What do you ( Read more... )

Christian Science and Scientology are not the same thing. Christian Science is the religion founded by Mary Baker Eddy that is best known for a belief in healing through the powers of prayer. Scientology is the cult founded by L. Ron Hubbard that Tom Cruise belongs to.

a lot of other people don't believe in immunizations either and i don't necessarily think it is a load of crap.

that's what i thought, too. i think women would be more apt to report DV/SA if they knew they'd be listened to.
