A poll, if I may.
I'm writing an essay on "equality". I am working on the assumption that equality is the main goal of feminism (as well as other movements i.e, socialism, the Civil Rights and so forth, but this is a community on feminism, so this poll should pertain to the topic of equality in gender.)
My question is a simple one, I just want you to explain what equality is, what it means. Please do not post definitions from a dictionary as we all know the definition differs for many people and the meaning of equality has never been a perfectly agreed upon.
Obviously there have been many debates as of late. I am not looking for a debate, but to collect data. If you wouldn't mind taking time out to answer my query it would be appreciated.
So in your own words, please define for me what equality is, what it means.
