I'm a big girl, now!
I found an apartment today! Signed a lease and everything! It's far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Savannah, yet close enough to downtown and work. Yays for me! I move in on the 30th.
Now if I can just convince Daddy that I'm responsible enough to pay for a dog...so right now, I'm updating my resume and tomorrow I'm taking it over to a temp agency. Because this internship is unpaid, I need as much money before it starts as possible. The RA gig money is running out quickly and my parents are already paying a bundle. I really want this dog, "Beauregard" that my friend, Chris has been holding for me. I think he would be a great companion and add some life to my lonely one bedroom place. Hmm, I just feel bad that I'd have to leave him for work everyday. Hmm...well...anyway, there's lunch break and after work, of course. It'll work out--if Daddy allows. Thing is, the pet deposit is $300 ($200 refundable) plus $20 every month. I think I could actually pay that and relieve my parents of somewhat of a burden--just need a small odd job first.
So, right now I'm updating my resume and early tomorrow morning, I'm going to dress all snazzy and head to a temp agency in town. Just looking for something flexible over the next two weeks--I'll do almost anything (within reason of my values). Yeah, my mom was like, "there's no way you can make $400 in two weeks" and I was like, "um...well...if I didn't have morals..." but I was totally joking. Opened up the paper tonight and who's hiring--none other than the Cafe' Risque'--yep, could make $2,000 in one week as a dancer. Now if I could only dance...;)
