Oh. Oh, wow.

You wrote fanfic for my favorite book. Moreover, you wrote fic about one of the most haunting characters in my favorite book (and the one I've always suspected was the author's personal self-insert) that gives her a believable backstory.

And mostover (is that a word?) you wrote really really good fanfic for my favorite book. Just lovely.

Thank you so, so much, both for reading and for this wonderful comment. I was a bit worried about writing from Tam Lin because I love the book so much, I just wasn't sure be able to do it justice. But I've always wondered what was going on with Peg, and each time I re-read the book it becomes what I think about more and more.

And then I was walking home and this whole mythology structure/theme kind of popped into my head, and then I couldn't not write it, you know?

It is a huge relief to hear that someone else who loves the book enjoyed the story. :)

I want to just copy what greenlily said above and double or triple it. Wow, the awe! I could hardly believe it when I saw 'Tam Lin' as the fandom.

This is amazing, a lovely piece. I love naming of trees and Kit's greeting. I wouldn't have minded seeing the Greek in there. ^_~ It's been too long since I reread Tam Lin and you've reminded me--in a wonderful way--that I'm overdue. This is lovely. I'm off to mine your journal for more to read.

Oh, thank you so much! I'm so very glad you enjoyed reading the story -- it was a ton of fun to write, in part because it meant re-reading the book a time or three. :)

Your comment has delighted me to no end. Thank you again for giving this a shot and then letting me know what you thought! I really really appreciate it.

You're most welecome! And, like I said, I'm going to be reading it again asap and it's all thanks to you. ^_^ I'm just glad you posted it where I could see it.

Fic for this book simply never occurred to me! I wonder now if there is more. I'd think it would attract a rather, ehem, elite group. ^_~

Well, I know there are a few Tam Lin stories up at Yuletide, though I haven't actually gotten around to reading them yet, because until I re-read the book this summer, it hadn't really occurred to me either. *grin*
