what's this, you say, thenewhope is finally getting off her ass and updating her recs journal? how can this be? is it a sign of the coming end times?
well. in that I'm updating with fracking Harry Potter recs I'd say, yeah, the world is quite possibly coming to an end.
but hey, why worry about that when instead you can have some gay!
most everything here was written/is set before DH, but the few stories that have spoilers are marked. I make no apologies about pairing, nor do I claim any difinitive knowledge of the fandom or canon (DH was the first book I read, and I only agreed to read OoTP afterward because I was promised there would be opportunity for gay in it. and Luna. Luna is awesome).

She can see their school here, from flags to flagstones. She can see it so completely that it hurts her, its perfection a physical ache in her chest.
this is one of those rare, amazing stories that is absolutely 100% canon to me. it's the four founders, building Hogwarts and tearing each other down. how this story isn't on every HP recs list out there, I don't know.
