Mission Complete

So I set out to finish The Devil Wears Prada before it came out in theatres on the 30th and last night...mission complete.

I totally related to Andrea (the main character) as I, worked for the male version of Miranda (the devil boss). I surprisingly lasted four months on that job as a stock broker's assistant at a very prestigious investment firm. The defining moment that ended my employment, in my eyes Oscar-worthy, was when I defiantly told my boss that he should know the answer to one of his questions as I'd only been there four months without being trained and he'd been there how long. Yeah, he didn't take to that too kindly and asked to see me in his office straight away. I, feeling like I was on a role, told him no & that I was doing something! We finally had our talk...he was civilized at that point, but my mind was already made up. When he left later for a meeting, I googled "resignation letters" and typed quite a professional one of my own, slapped it on his desk, and slithered out of the office feeling brand new.

But I wasn't feeling the ending of The Devil Wears Prada. Well, at least now I can look forward to the movie which I had planned on seeing solo at the cozy theatre up the block from my job but since my niece is in town and my mom also wants to see it, I guess it's going to be a family affair.
