Wu-Tang Clan at the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors
To me this year's VH1 Hip-Hop Honors fell flat. Like it lacked momentum or like the show was produced and edited by people who only heard about rap because they read about it on wikipedia. There was no feeling to it.
How do you seriously have a tribute to the greatest hip-hop group EVER and that shit lasts like 3 minutes? If you haven't heard, Wu-Tang is for the chirren!
The 18th Letter
Even Rakim, who made several of the dopest house party tracks in rap, had an almost lackluster tribute.
*shrugs*
It's quite possible I'm still hyped off of Big Daddy Kane's performance of "Warm It Up Kane" during last year's Hip-Hop Honors. :/
