I like the view from here!
I’m working from home and in between calls I can’t help but think about things. This weekend it was pointed out that I’ve been friends with the same group of people for 4 years. I think that’s pretty neato! What’s best about it is they aren’t the same people I met 4 years ago. Each has grown into their respective roles both personally and professionally. I’ve seen parents grow more tolerant and understanding. I’ve seen new additions to their families and I’ve seen their children mature into little people. I’ve seen my friend’s struggle with who they are, where they belong, lose their footing, get lost in the dark and still searching for the answers to the questions that can’t answer.
I’ve seen friends graduate and continue their education. Strive for more and to improve upon their lives for the betterment of their futures. I’ve seen friends buy their first homes and others fight to keep theirs. I’ve seen friends receive promotions while another get demoted or laid off, fired and try desperately to keep the one they have though unappreciated for their hard work.
This morning all I can do is smile because, each in their own way touch me. Even though I feel my world is at a complete stand still. I can still see that life continues on and it’s a beautiful thing in its own right and I like the way that makes me feel.
