Work Woes
My boss is trying to screw me out of money. Friday I was given my welcome pack with all my paper work. Mary-Jane-Boy (my office mate) and I work pretty closely and we talk about this and that and we’ve shared our salary rates to ensure both of us get a fair shake. However, that isn’t the case. It may be true that he is more intuitive than I in regards to a few technical things, but that shouldn’t be worth 2 bucks more! If so I should be getting paid more since I do more work then he does, which even CHOMPS pointed out. I also manage the help desk, coordinate deliveries, buy parts, and choose vendors, set up installations for parts/services along with my normal tasks. We are supposed to do the same job; yet we don’t have the responsibilities but have the same job description.
It’s crap! Not knowing the reason is part of the problem. So don’t ask me to burry my head in the sand, AND the head clown should feel uncomfortable. He isn’t being truthful. Don’t blame me for having the wit to ask; to protect myself from deceitful male clowns that want to continue to payless for more simply because, I am a female and expected to pick up the slack while the male clowns get to sit on the fence and watch while I go and distract the bull. I have fallen into this trap before. I work hard, do more, take on more and all I get in the end is shafted.
I do good work regardless of how much I get paid. However, my bills don’t share the same mentality. How much you are paid mirror’s their appreciation for what you do. If you do and get paid less then what incentive do they have to offer you more? If you’re under the delusion that if you do a good job and work hard, you will get noticed for your accomplishments and be rewarded accordingly then I feel sorry for you! Cause, buddy it doesn’t work that way for everyone?
Mary_Jane_Boy did not lie. I saw his pay stub. Chomps, lied. Meh, I’ve just been told that I have a meeting with him at 11:45am this morning. I guess we shall see.

Good job, Shan. Like limbomonkey said, you're sharp to be on this from the beginning. Sometimes you have to ask for clarification because sometimes you really are being cheated.
