I got a hold of the Glee Christmass Album, and I've been listening to it on and on :) I looked for some of the lyrics, but the second song is a mash-up, so I had to write them down myself. I'm posting it here so I don't loose it (because it's nowhere on the internet yet), but you guys can use it too :)
Deck the Rooftop
Fa-la-la-la oh-o-oh
Fa-la-la-la oh-o
Fa-la-la-la oh-o-oh
Fa-la-la-la oh-o
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Up on the rooftop reindeer pause
Out jumps good old Santa Clause
Down thru the chimney with lots of toys
All for the little ones
Christmas joys
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
Up on the rooftop
Click, click, click
Down thru the chimney with
Good Saint Nick
Deck the halls with - Up on the rooftop
Deck the halls with - Up on the rooftop
Deck the halls with - Up on the rooftop
Fa-la-la-la Fa-la-la-la
First comes the stocking
Of little Nell
Oh, dear Santa
Fill it well
Give her a dolly
That laughs and cries
One that will open
And shut her eyes
Don we now our gay apparel
Fa-la-la, la-la-la, la-la-la.
Troll the ancient Yule-tide carol
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Deck the halls with - Up on the rooftop
Deck the halls with - Up on the rooftop
Deck the halls with - Up on the rooftop
Fa-la-la-la Fa-la-la-la
Up on the rooftop
Oh-o-oh
Up on the rooftop
Oh-o
Up on the rooftop
Oh-o-oh
Up on the rooftop
Oh-o
See the blazing Yule before us.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Strike the harp and join the chorus.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Follow me in merry measure.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Sing we joyous, all together.
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
Ho, ho, ho!
Who wouldn’t go!
Up on the rooftop
Click, click, click
Down thru the chimney with
Good Saint Nick
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
'Tis the season to be jolly
Hear the bells of Christmass calling
Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
"God Rest Ye Merry Gentelmen"
God rest ye merry, gentlemen,
Let nothing you dismay
Remember Christ our Saviour
Was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's power
When we were gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy!
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed angel came
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same
How in that Bethlehem was born
The son of God by name
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy!
"Fear not," said the angel
"Let nothing you affright
This day is born a saviour
Of a pure virgin bright
To free all those who trust in him
From Satan's pow'r and might"
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy!
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy!
comfort and joy;
comfort and joy;
joy, joy, joy
Now to the Lord sing praises
All you within this place
And with true love and brotherhood
Each other now embrace
This holy tide of Christmas
All others doth deface
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
O tidings of comfort and joy!
Of joy
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
Of joy
O tidings of comfort and joy,
comfort and joy;
We have gone astray.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
"You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch"
All the windows were dark,
No one knew he was there
All the whos were all dreaming
Sweet dreams without a care
You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch.
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grinch.
You're a bad banana
With a - a greasy black peel.
You're a monster, Mr. Grinch.
Your heart's an empty hole.
Your brain is full of spiders,
You've got garlic in your soul.
Mr. Grinch.
I wouldn't touch you, with a
thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole.
All I need is a reindeer, so he took his dog, Max.
And he took some black thread and he tied a big horn on the top of his head.
Then the Grinch said, "Giddap!"
And the sleigh started down
To the homes where the whos lay a-snooze in their town.
"This is stop number one," the old Grinchy Claus hissed
And she climbed to the roof, empty bags in her fist.
Then he slid down the chimney.
A rather tight pinch.
But, if Santa can do it, then so could the Grinch.
Then he slithered and slunk, with a smile most unpleasant
Around the whole room, and took every present!
Pop guns! Pomponoose! And cookies! And Drums! Checkerboards! Mistle beans! Popcorn!
And plums!
And he stuffed them in bags.
Then the Grinch, very nimbly, stuffed all the bags, one by one, up the chimney!
You're a foul one, Mr. Grinch.
You're a nasty, wasty skunk.
Your heart is full of unwashed socks
Your soul is full of gunk.
Mr. Grinch.
The three words that best describe you,
are as follows and I quote: "Stink. Stank. Stunk."
You nauseate me, Mr. Grinch.
With a nauseaus super-naus.
You're a crooked jerky jockey
And you drive a crooked horse.
Mr. Grinch.
You're a three decker saurkraut and toadstool sandwich
With arsenic sauce
"Angels We Have Heard On High"
Sing Gloria! Gloria!
Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria! Gloria!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria! Gloria!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Glria!
O come and sing Gloria!
Glria!
O come and sing Gloria!
Gloria! Gloria!
O come and sing Gloria!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Angels we have heard on high
(Gloria! O come and sing Gloria!)
Sing Gloria!
Sing Gloria!
(Gloria!)
O come and sing Gloria!
O come and sing Gloria!
