Zoo!
I meant to post these pics awhile ago but I totally forgot until today. Jenny and I decided to take the kiddos to the local zoo on July 10th, it was pretty disappointing. The munchkins had a lot of fun though but I can't imagine it being very fun for adults or older kids. I could have walked through it within 30 mins by myself but we took our time and had a snack break and everything so we were there for about 2 hours total. Also the majority of the pets were birds I could have taken my kids to the pet store to see for free...all variety's of macaws, cockatoos, and many other common parrots. But I wanted to go and experience it for myself, everyone has told me how awful it is and really the animal habitats weren't horrible. The lion was in a tiny enclosure and the ostrich were in a pretty tiny pen but the animals all looks healthy and all the pens/cages were clean. The bird habitats really made me sad though because they basically had something to sleep in and food/water bowls and perches...nothing else for enrichment.

The entrance
First stop were the goats, this was Alex's favorite part. None of the other kids wanted to go into the cage. Abby did but immediately all the goats tried to head butt her lol so I had to take her out.
Next we saw the ostrich! These were a male/female pair.

This macaw kept saying "Hi, Hello, I love you", it was so cute

There were a few other animals like a lion, mountain lion, more birds, and thats about it. The kids had fun and that's what matters.
I don't know if we will ever go again but it was okay. I may give it one more shot once the weather cools down. Going when it is 100 outside even at 9am is just not fun for anyone lol
